Terms of use

These terms apply when you use the Blocky app and website ("Blocky"). By creating an account or using Blocky you agree to them, and to our Privacy policy. Blocky is run by Oliver Matula, Czech Republic ("we", "us"). Contact: [email protected].

1. Blocky is in beta

Blocky is an early version. Features may change, break, or be removed, and the service may be unavailable at times. We may limit who can use it and how much can be moved while it's in beta. Use amounts you're comfortable with.

2. Who can use Blocky

You must be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms. You may not use Blocky if you are subject to sanctions, or in or acting for a place or person where using it would break the law. You're responsible for following the laws that apply to you, including tax.

3. Your wallet is yours

Blocky is non-custodial. Your wallet is created through Privy, our wallet provider, and only you can approve what it does. We never hold your money or your private key, so we can't move, freeze, reverse or recover your funds. You can export your private key at any time and use your wallet elsewhere. Keep your sign-in method and phone secure: if someone else signs in as you, we can't undo what they do. If you delete your account, your wallet's sign-in is deleted too, so move your money out or export your key first.

4. You approve every payment

Blocky's assistant and screens prepare payments and show them to you as a card: what moves, to whom, and what it costs. Nothing happens until you approve it with your fingerprint, face or device lock. Check every card before you approve it. Blockchain payments are final: a payment sent to the wrong address, or one you approved by mistake, generally can't be undone by anyone. Spending limits, warnings and checks in Blocky help, but they don't guarantee that a payment is safe or right.

5. The AI can be wrong

Blocky's assistant uses AI. It can misunderstand you, make mistakes, or show information that is out of date or incomplete. It can't sign or send anything on its own. Treat its answers as help, not as a promise, and rely on the payment card you approve, which is built and checked by fixed code, not by the AI.

6. Not financial advice

Nothing in Blocky is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, including prices, insights, charts and anything the assistant says. Decisions about your money are yours.

7. Investing, tokens and other risks

Stocks and tokens in Blocky are blockchain tokens issued by third parties. They can lose value quickly, may be hard to sell, and may not give you the same rights as owning a share directly; the issuer's own terms apply. Stablecoins aim to keep a steady value but can lose it. Prices shown may differ from what you get. Payments between networks rely on third-party bridges and services. Blockchains, smart contracts and providers can fail, be attacked or change. You use these assets and services at your own risk.

8. Fees

Blockchains charge network fees. Blocky may also charge its own fee on some transactions, such as swaps and moves between networks. Every fee is shown on the card before you approve it; we never charge a fee you didn't see. Sending money to people has no Blocky fee.

9. Third-party services

Blocky works with services we don't control, such as Privy, blockchain networks, Circle, bridges, exchanges and price providers. Their own terms may apply, and we aren't responsible for their availability, actions or failures.

10. Things you must not do

Don't use Blocky for anything illegal, including fraud, scams, money laundering, financing terrorism or evading sanctions; to harm or harass other people; or to attack, overload, reverse-engineer or misuse the service. We may stop providing Blocky's app and services to anyone who breaks these terms. Because Blocky is non-custodial, that never gives us control of your wallet or money.

11. No guarantee

Blocky is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be error-free, secure, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose.

12. Our liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses from blockchain transactions you approved, mistakes in payments, the actions of third-party services, changes in the value of assets, or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

13. Ending

You can stop using Blocky and delete your account at any time (Account → Delete account). We may change, pause or stop Blocky, or parts of it. If we stop it entirely, we'll give notice where we can; your wallet and money stay yours and can be used with other apps through your exported key.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and tell you in the app or by email before a significant change takes effect. If you keep using Blocky after that, the new terms apply.

15. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without taking away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live as a consumer. If something goes wrong, please email us first at [email protected]; most things can be solved quickly.
